Mary Theisen-Lappen is an American weightlifter known for her explosive power and steady rise to the top of the international stage. Her athletic journey began in collegiate shot put and discus before she transitioned to weightlifting, bringing a rare blend of throwing-sport speed and competitive poise to the platform.
Her breakout came at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships, where she earned silver in the women's +87 kg category. She followed that with podium finishes at the Pan American Championships and became a key member of Team USA.
