Bio
Liu Huanhua was born on August 20, 2001, in Chenzhou, China, and was recruited by the Tianjin weightlifting team at age 13. His first major breakthrough came at the 2018 China Youth Championships, where he won gold in both the snatch and clean and jerk in the 77 kg class.
By 2023, competing at 102 kg, he claimed gold at the World Weightlifting Championships in Riyadh by dominating the clean and jerk. That same year at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, his lifts of 233 kg in the clean and jerk and 418 kg total exceeded world records, cementing his place among the sport's elite.
